Description

I am selling my black and tan, 1994 Miata with 50,400 miles. All original, 5 speed, 1.8L, Torsen LSD, anti lock brakes, leather interior. The car does not have air conditioning. I bought it in 2017 with 45,500 miles. I am the third owner. The car has always been adult owned and loved.

It runs great, no issues. No body rust, but there is some surface rust under the car on suspension components etc. Paint is good, but there are numerous door dings and surface scratches. It is a “25 foot car”. Original leather seats are in good shape, as is the rest of the interior and the original floor mats. Original soft top and zip down rear window are in good shape. Car comes with the original owners manual and all documentation.

I have been using the car as a dedicated autocross car (ES class) for the last couple of years, it sees about 6 or 8 events a year. It is not currently registered, but limited test drives around my neighborhood are possible. I will register it if I get a serious buyer.

Carfax shows damage to the right fender in 2004, that fender has its sticker. Documentation that came with the car shows damage to the left fender in 2007, that fender does not have its sticker. All other body stickers are present.

It has the hollow 5 spoke wheels, one of which as a repairable dent on the lip which does not affect performance. The tires on these wheels are aged out and need to be replaced. Car also comes with a set of 15” 949 Racing 6ULs with Dunlop Direzza, these tires were purchased this year.

When I bought the car in 2017 it needed a radiator and had a slight CAS leak, so I went a little crazy during the winter of 2017/2018 and pulled the engine and transmission to clean everything up and baseline everything. Some of the stuff listed below were replaced “just ‘cause I was in there”, clutch for example.

Scouted Listing FAQ

What is a Scouted listing?

Scouted listings are our way of bringing you the fullest catalog of parts for sale. We hunt for parts from around the web and reshare them on Racebuilds. This is great for buyers because it means they get access to hard-to-find parts, and it's great for sellers because it means they get more exposure for their listings.

What happens when I purchase?

When you purchase a Scouted listing, we'll reach out to the seller on your behalf. We work with them to coordinate payment and shipping.

What happens if you can't get the part?

We sometimes can't complete the purchase request for a variety of reasons. Sellers may not respond, the part may have already been sold, or they might not be willing to ship. If we can't get the part, we'll cancel the purchase request and you won't get charged.

What is the estimated shipping cost?

We make a crude estimate of the shipping cost based on the price. Most of the time we're in the ballpark and can fulfill the purchase at the stated price. If the shipping cost is significantly higher, we'll reach out to you to see if you're still interested.

Am I charged immediately?

Nope! We only charge you when we have confirmed that the seller is willing to sell the part and ship it to you.

I see a payment authorization, what's up with that?

When a purchase is submitted, PayPal authorizes the payment. It's not a charge, but it does reserve the funds. This helps sellers know that you're serious about buying the part. If your offer is canceled for any reason, the authorization is usually canceled within 24 hours.

What if I change my mind?

Just let us know and we'll cancel the purchase request. You won't be charged.

Do you have the part in stock?

Since these are Scouted listings, we don't have the part in stock. They've been reshared from various communities around the web.

This is my part, can I claim it or remove it?

Yup! If you're the seller, just send us a message and we can either transfer the listing over to you or remove it. Up to you.

Are all Racebuilds listings Scouted listings?

Nope! Racebuilds main focus is providing a place for enthusiasts to list their parts for sale. Scouted listings are just a way for us to bring you additional parts that we think you'll like.
