Description

99 NB Miata – I purchased this car last summer at the same time I bought 3 other parts cars. Intention was to use the other parts cars to repair this car as a good street car. Also intended to sell the hard top separately. I don’t know much about this car as I’ve done little to nothing with it yet other than confirming the engine is locked up. Ideally I want to bail on this project and get out of it with what I have into it.

Here’s what I know:
Good:
Excellent body – no rust ( including front frame rails and rockers) – nice body kit
OEM Hard top in excellent condition – will NOT sell separate until the car sells first.
5sp / 4.3 Torsen rear
After market – headers, large sway bars & end links, adjustable coil over shocks, HD Springs, bolt in roll bar, quick release steering wheel, stereo, large shiny exhaust.
Not so good:
Needs engine- motor is locked up.
Driver seat needs re-cover or replaced – I do have a decent pair of NA front seats you can have.
R title – see previous add from owner – says light hit to hood and head light, radiator support. I really can’t see any apparent damage or repair so it was either insignificant or repaired properly but none the less, still has PA R- Title.
There is NO soft top. I do have a soft top frame that can go with the car, but the top should be replaced.
Front tires decent, rear tires need replaced.
Local delivery could be arranged and willing to transport a reasonable distance for a fee depending on time/distance.

Scouted Listing FAQ

What is a Scouted listing?

Scouted listings are our way of bringing you the fullest catalog of parts for sale. We hunt for parts from around the web and reshare them on Racebuilds. This is great for buyers because it means they get access to hard-to-find parts, and it's great for sellers because it means they get more exposure for their listings.

What happens when I purchase?

When you purchase a Scouted listing, we'll reach out to the seller on your behalf. We work with them to coordinate payment and shipping.

What happens if you can't get the part?

We sometimes can't complete the purchase request for a variety of reasons. Sellers may not respond, the part may have already been sold, or they might not be willing to ship. If we can't get the part, we'll cancel the purchase request and you won't get charged.

What is the estimated shipping cost?

We make a crude estimate of the shipping cost based on the price. Most of the time we're in the ballpark and can fulfill the purchase at the stated price. If the shipping cost is significantly higher, we'll reach out to you to see if you're still interested.

Am I charged immediately?

Nope! We only charge you when we have confirmed that the seller is willing to sell the part and ship it to you.

I see a payment authorization, what's up with that?

When a purchase is submitted, PayPal authorizes the payment. It's not a charge, but it does reserve the funds. This helps sellers know that you're serious about buying the part. If your offer is canceled for any reason, the authorization is usually canceled within 24 hours.

What if I change my mind?

Just let us know and we'll cancel the purchase request. You won't be charged.

Do you have the part in stock?

Since these are Scouted listings, we don't have the part in stock. They've been reshared from various communities around the web.

This is my part, can I claim it or remove it?

Yup! If you're the seller, just send us a message and we can either transfer the listing over to you or remove it. Up to you.

Are all Racebuilds listings Scouted listings?

Nope! Racebuilds main focus is providing a place for enthusiasts to list their parts for sale. Scouted listings are just a way for us to bring you additional parts that we think you'll like.
